Many members of the Lundy Collectors’ Club are interested in aspects of Lundy which have nothing to do with stamps (and some aren’t interested in stamps at all!).

Some of the fields which are also collected are:

  • POSTCARDS, often with an interest in what they tell us about Lundy’s history.

  • BOOKS AND PUBLICATIONS. The bibliography of Lundy is surprisingly wide and varied and includes its history, archaeology, geology, birdlife, fungi, plants and more. Many publications have been produced by the Lundy Field Society, including their Annual Reports, Newsletters and Journal (see https://lundy.org.uk/publications/books - opens in a new tab). Many guidebooks, official and unofficial, have been produced. There is even a guidebook to Lundy guidebooks which you can download as a free PDF! See http://www.campaniles.co.uk/oldlight/gog.html - opens in a new tab.

  • EPHEMERA - newspapers and cuttings, magazines, posters, leaflets, travel tickets and labels, etc. Past editions of the popular ‘Lundy Calendar’ are also collectable.

  • ARTEFACTS, such as pottery, badges, souvenirs. This includes Lundy ‘crested’ china, which is a field of collecting in its own right.

  • ARTWORK. Drawings by John Dyke are particularly appreciated, but other artists have also worked on Lundy.

  • MAPS.

  • LUNDY LETTERBOXES. Based on Dartmoor letterboxes, these are hidden all over the island and contain a stamp and pad to record your successful discovery.

Stamps are replaced and updated from time
